Frequently asked questions

Claims can be lodged via the Hollard Broker Portal.

Once you’re logged in, start a new claim and make sure you attach all the relevant documents for the claim to be eligible for our faster claims process.

The documents you need will depend on what your client’s claim is for. The table below provides more detail:

Exclusions apply to the following types of claims:

  • Loss/damage over $10,000
  • EOL claims
  • Claims requiring an assessor
  • Claims where there is cracking or movement of a building
  • Loss/damage caused by tenants
  • Infoarc claims
  • Swimming pools
  • Retaining walls
  • Balcony damage
  • New policies that commenced less than 3 months prior to the incident date, and
  • Policies with a history of similar or multiple claims.

Commercial Motor claims are currently not eligible for Hollard's faster claims process.

If we need more information to process your client’s claim, we will email you or call you as per the contact details provided on the lodgement form. 

If the value of the claim exceeds $10,000, it will be assessed as part of our standard BAU claims process and will be assigned a case manager for review.

If your client’s claim is not found to be eligible for our faster claims process, we will be in contact with you to advise of the next steps.  

A claim may not be eligible if:  

  • The information provided cannot be accepted
  • Required information has not been attached to the lodgment
  • It is out of scope
  • The claim exceeds $10,000 

At this time, we are only able to process claims through our faster claims process when they are submitted via the Hollard Broker Portal. Any claims that are submitted via email or phone will be subject to normal processing times.
