We're making it easier to settle low value claims via the Hollard Broker Portal.
You told us that you need a faster way to settle low value claims for your clients, and we listened.
We've created a faster process for eligible claims totalling less than $10,000, when they're submitted via the Hollard Broker Portal and all documentation is provided up front.
The benefits of using our faster claims process include a shorter claims duration, more time back to focus on your client's larger or more complex claims, and happier clients as their payment reaches their bank account quickly.
What does an eligible

Hollard Broker Portal
The Hollard Broker Portal gives you the option of submitting claims for your clients at a time and place that suits you. With instant reference numbers upon submission, and the ability to amend and track claim progress, lodging claims has never been easier.

How do I lodge a claim for the faster claims process?
Claims can be lodged via the Hollard Broker Portal.
Once you’re logged in, start a new claim and make sure you attach all the relevant documents for the claim to be eligible for our faster claims process.
Which documents do I need?
The documents you need will depend on what your client’s claim is for. The table below provides more detail:
Which claims are not eligible (exclusions)?
Exclusions apply to the following types of claims:
- Loss/damage over $10,000
- EOL claims
- Claims requiring an assessor
- Claims where there is cracking or movement of a building
- Loss/damage caused by tenants
- Infoarc claims
- Swimming pools
- Retaining walls
- Balcony damage
- New policies that commenced less than 3 months prior to the incident date, and
- Policies with a history of similar or multiple claims.
Commercial Motor claims are currently not eligible for Hollard's faster claims process.
How do I know if you need more information?
If we need more information to process your client’s claim, we will email you or call you as per the contact details provided on the lodgement form.
What if the claim ends up being worth more than $10,000?
If the value of the claim exceeds $10,000, it will be assessed as part of our standard BAU claims process and will be assigned a case manager for review.
How do I give you feedback?

Why is the claim not assessed as being eligible for the faster claims process?
If your client’s claim is not found to be eligible for our faster claims process, we will be in contact with you to advise of the next steps.
A claim may not be eligible if:
- The information provided cannot be accepted
- Required information has not been attached to the lodgment
- It is out of scope
- The claim exceeds $10,000
At this time, we are only able to process claims through our faster claims process when they are submitted via the Hollard Broker Portal. Any claims that are submitted via email or phone will be subject to normal processing times.
What if I can not access the Hollard Broker Portal?
If you don’t have access to the Hollard Broker Portal, or aren’t able to login, please email bemclaims@hollard.com.au for assistance and we’ll be in touch to help you out.
